Goddamn being a parent is a lot. It’s the most fulfilling thing in my life and the most taxing. I notice it exponentially now that I’m doing it alone. But partner or not, it doesn’t matter. I had a partner when this pic was taken and look at me: attentive, putting someone ahead of me, and I had two other kids to think about while doing this. I’m just sitting here looking at this pic in awe of all of us just doing it every damn day in the shadows. All of the selflessness is expected and a necessary part of parenthood, so it’s never spoken of, but I see you. #tbt
