I was more than happy to contribute my personal story of discovering the L.A. punk scene for John Doe @theejohndoe and Tom DeSavia @desavia's new book, “More Fun in the New World - The Unmaking and Legacy of LA Punk”, a sequel to John and Tom's “Under The Big Black Sun: A Personal History of L.A, Punk” from 2016. It was fun for me to revisit the raw excitement of the early years of punk and the permanent influence on me and my creative output. I'm excited for everyone to read all the details of west coast punk history, and I'm sure the audiobook by Scott Sherratt, chock full of some of my cultural heroes, will provide some inspiring tales as well.
