In 2009 there were close to 20 shoe brands. Many have gone away. Others have been overwhelmed and can’t compete with the larger brands. This means bigger teams for the big brands and smaller teams on the small brands. Which means less good skaters being sponsored. More skaters buying shoes or just landing on the flow program. But... What happens to the teams of these big brands when a new generation of skaters come in like @robinfournier_ doing tricks like nollie backside flip late bigspin? Do the big brands make room and get bigger or do the other brands have a chance in picking them up? Do new brands start or do the big brands start cleaning house to make room for new faces?
