For maximum blonde, I chose a horizontal placement which will fall like a sheet of color and break up the dark more than any other placement would. Diagonally placed foils will give a more diffused effect, so this is great placement to use around the hairline.

Vertically placed foils will create strands & bands of color. Keep in mind the shape of the head, where you are placing the foils, and how you want that color to fall, in order to achieve the best desired result!
