I had two #doxies ...they were sooooo naughty, especially the smooth haired one. I’d come home and find my best lingerie chewed and scattered around my back yard, and they would tunnel underneath the backyard fence, so neighbors would come knocking on my door with my two #sausagedogs under their arms. Back then I loved the idea of #dachshunds because they were very popular in #1940s Hollywood; a lot of moviestars had them. I’d heard it’s because William Randolph Hearst bred them and gave them as gifts to his guests. Anyone who has them knows they can be tough to train, and I certainly wasn’t prepared for the doxie wrath when I got them when I was 20 years old! I just thought they were cute and so vintage-y. No regrets though. At one time I had two dogs, and four #devonrex cats, and the cats would gang up on the dogs. @staciadunnamdesign took this photo of us.
