One thing that hasn’t changed is the iconic manually-operated scoreboard. It was built in 1937 and scoreboard operators still change steel plates by hand to reflect score changes in the Cubs game as well as other games throughout the league. The scoreboard is also home to the flag pole where National League standings are displayed and the W flag flies after each Cubs win.
