All the feels. .
A helpful thing for my son and many people on the Autism Spectrum is finding positive "sensory input". Whether it's their feet on a resistance band under the chair, a weighted blanket...or the world's largest sandbox and being able to feel the warmth and texture of the sand. This sensory helps them regulate their emotions and find their own moment of Zen. 🙏🏼 .

Thanks for sharing sir. I learned so much about Autism from @mykola on twitter. You may have already seen this before but I think its worth a read for you or your followers. He also has a Reddit on the topic. r/AutismTranslated. https://twitter.com/mykola/status/1112883937272107008?s=19

@petehalvorsen good to see you raising awareness Pete! Our son has pediatric bi polar, anxiety and OCD disorders with a side dish of sensory. Most people don’t understand the struggles (how could they) so we view raising awareness and talking about it as job #1

Asperger syndrome. Emotions, feelings and social interactions appearing like a jungle, sometimes their meaning being enigmatically chaotic and disorganized. Which doesn’t mean they aren’t important. Far from that... ⚓️?

Oh my goodness, yes. Anything blue and fuzzy is instantly soothing. I have a fuzzy blue weighted blanket and it's the best.

I’ve got a very similar photo of Nora in the sand just like this. She loves it. Lives in her sandbox all summer.
