Doughnuts have a long and interesting history. Their origins can be traced back to the olykoek (or 'oily cakes') that Dutch settlers brought with them to New York in the 1600s. And while they lacked the ring shape that we currently associate with donuts, the description of "sweetened cake fried in fat" sounds pretty spot-on.

Which brings us to modern times and National Doughnut Day. Whether you like them glazed, sprinkled, iced or even filled, you can bring your fried treats through the security checkpoint.

@tsa I am flying later today and my son requested I bring 3 dozen NY bagels to NC with me. I vacuum packed them. Am I able to bring them in my carry on ? Will @tsa open them and remove from vacuum packed bags? I dont think they would fit back in the bag once the vacuum seal is opened so im a bit worried. Thanks

I am traveling soon and have an ecig. My friends keep telling me conflicting things of ‘it must be out of the carry on, it needs to have the battery drained, it has to be separated. I use it outside to curb my smoking.
What’s the official deal on vape pens/e cigs?

@ya_ya_sunshine Customs has drug sniffing dogs, TSA has dogs that sniff for explosives. TSA is a federal agency so even though they dont look for drugs if they find them they have to report them because they're against federal law.

Every single time I have snacks I’m pulled out of line and they’re “inspected” the@last time @tsa opened my sealed bags of Hawaiian coffee and rubbed wipes all inside the bags. Is that stuff safe to make contact with food?!?

Hi there, we are travelling from Turks and Caicos to Canada (through US). We have an opened bag of coffee grounds. Are we allowed to bring back home?(obviously ziplocked and in checked bag)
Thanks!

Wondering about medications for an international flight. Just bring them in the prescription bottle? Can we bring supplements in a separate bottle or baggie (because they’re so large)?
