It takes a certain type of person to train for the rim-to-rim-to-rim, where we cover 47 miles, 11,000 feet elevation gain and 11,000 elevation loss in just two days. . ( We all agreed this even was harder than childbirth, but absolutely worth it. )  Lesson: hard things are worth doing. . We started into the canyon in snow, ran under waterfalls, went 7 miles through scorching hot deserts and then climbed 9 miles of switchbacks. . Then we did it all over again the next day. Lesson: you can always take one more step. . As hard as the rim-to-rim-to-rim is, it’s also the most rewarding trek I’ve ever done. You realize just how tough, strong and capable you are... and how beautiful the world can be. God truly created a masterpiece with this canyon! . If your heart is tugging at you to step outside your comfort zone, to do something wild and crazy and to find your grit- we’ve got something you wanna hear about... . We’ve decided to do one last adventure this October to the canyon. This is it- so if you’re at all interested in training to run/hike the Grand Canyon with your fellow rawkstars... sign up soon.
