Introducing our June #MTVCreatorToWatch: ✨@marko_monroe!✨ Marko will be taking over our feed today: "Hey Y’all! I am an artist from Little Rock, Arkansas currently living in sunny Los Angeles, California and MTV thought I was special enough to take over for the month! I recently escaped the repressive south with with my queer family the House of Avalon (@thehouseofavalon) two years ago. As the creative director of a club, I threw parties with them as a way to provide safe spaces for the queer community to express themselves and to have FUN. I taught myself how to sew when we needed looks to fit the theme and I now primary work as a costume designer and stylist. In my first year in LA, I’ve made clothes for Miley Cyrus, RuPaul’s Drag Race contestants, iconic photographers and of course my personal favorite queen, DIVA, supreme, LIZZO! I love to make a statement! Why don’t you follow me along as I show you some of my work I’ve done!"
