For five decades, Goddard Associate Director Nancy Abell spent her career leading new generations of scientists and visionaries who have advanced NASA’s mission.

Since 2007, Nancy has served as Associate Center Director, overseeing our institutional, human capital and business management activities.

Nancy first came to Goddard in 1968 as a summer intern studying at the University of Maryland, College Park. She came aboard full-time as a Financial Analyst in 1972.
