One of the songs in today’s performance is about writer’s block. Had I let myself be blocked, the song never would’ve come to be. Today that song is being played by @cyorchestra & it is an extraordinary experience to hear it. During rehearsals with these incredibly talented, hardworking students, we spoke a lot about attitude. By practicing a positive attitude we can persevere through hardship & overcome self judgement; we can maintain the strength & spirit needed to combat discrimination; & therefore we can powerfully pursue & achieve our dreams. Living a dream is hard work, but a positive attitude will sustain you, even if the skies get rough.

When I walked into Severance yesterday, I was moved to tears. It was better than a dream and I will never forget it. @jason_mraz, thank you for shining your beautiful light ??❤️
