With real-time monitoring and processing of brain signals, the University of Sydney is driving towards independence for those living with epilepsy.
The seizure advisory system called NeuroSyd will be developed to deliver an early warning of the likelihood of an epileptic seizure strike. Accelerated by an AI for Accessibility grant, this technology will help individuals with epilepsy who want to or used to drive a vehicle.
Combining data science, Microsoft's AI and machine learning resources and the University's expertise, the team aims to help the 65 million people worldwide living with epilepsy.
