Matey boy there will never be another dog like you. youve been the best dog over the 11 years we had you in our lives. im so sad to say that cancer took our Mate from us Saturday evening. my heart and chest aches with horrid pain from the fact youre gone. the house feels empty, cold, and quiet. but i know how happy he must be in heaven. Matey was the best dog we couldve asked for he loved chasing his ball, going in the car, and (my favorite part of all) he was the best pillow. my favorite thing to do was to curl up on the couch with him and put my head on him. we’d cuddle for hours until my dad would come around and he’d ditch me for him haha. Mate i cant ever explain how much you changed our lives. i never seen a better friendship than this dog and my daddy. boy did he love his dad and his daddy loved him more than anything. Angel, i am so lucky that Momma and i got to be with you every step of the way on saturday. we really have been through thick and thin together huh? ill never forget your perfect little ears (well not so little) and how soft they were. ill also never forget the sound of your bark or the way youd tilt your head at us when we say “time to go bye bye” and how quick youd run to the door. you were beyond loved and have always been so special to us. i look forward to the day we get to be with each other again and have eternal life and happiness together. i love you Mr. Big Man - ill see you soon buddy. youll always be the best boy.
