He has a normal life but can also come out of his comfort zone and turn into Superman. So I worked on two levels: there’s a high-voltage part with glitter and colour which contrasts with a more formal part featuring tailoring and a more classic palette.’ For #MarcoDeVincenzo, his skill with a pencil was his ticket out of Messina and by the age of 21 he was already working for Fendi in Rome. A decade later, however, he felt the need to define his own style, so he launched his eponymous brand that established him as one of the most distinctive voices on Italy’s new fashion landscape. Another decade has passed since then, and De Vincenzo is preparing to embark on a new chapter with the presentation of his first menswear collection.
