I got a sad feeling when I came back.
Bhutan and Japan are really similar but there is rich nature, and people are so gentle.
They have things which we have lost.
It’s like “the unreachable stars” and l felt “l’ll never again go back to our hometown”. Since then the idea of Gross National Happiness (GNH), our image is “the happiest country in the world”.
Practically it might be different but maybe “ They make us realize what is happiness.” When I held my workshop for kids at the monastery I thought about how I could help them. But giving respect to them is more important than giving something.
They have a thing which we don’t have.
It is more difficult to protect a thing that we have now than to evolve.
We must realize we destroy the old when we evolve.
