Tonight is opening night for BYHALIA, MISSISSIPPI at @kennedycenter
I’m incredibly proud and grateful to be a part of this amazing production. I cannot thank the cast/stage management/crew/creative team/producers enough. tonyc65 I live about an hour from Byhalia MS. I am sure the play is awesome and I am sure the characters portray some amazing hard-working people; however it seems that Mississippians and all southern people get stereotyped. I say this blindly and without even knowing what the play is about. All Mississippians don’t look like these characters. Remember Oprah, Faith Hill, Sela Ward, Elvis, James Earl Jones, LeAnn Rimes, along with many others are from Mississippi. Just remember we are steeped in rich Southern culture and proud of our people, families and state. I’m just saying...
