When I was growing up in the 1980’s Poland gave the entire world a lesson in resisting oppressive regimes. Solidarity, unifying disparate corners of Polish society under the banner of freedom, shook the world order to its core. I truly believe that the true spirit of the Polish people is to be found in resistance to oppression, the never-ending fight for freedom. And with that truth stated: the people in this photo, fighting, resisting, courageously marching in the face of oppression...these people are the “real” Poles. They hold the true spirit of Poland in their hearts and Poland’s future in their hands. #Pride #LGBTQ #Solidarity
