Why would America Invest and send help to a African country when it has problems in the Middle East and inside American such as gun crime. Only when it threatens a country directly, they will be involved, I agree on you with that. chumbins @valeriechiriseri it’s because if America for example does get involved it will most likely start a war, it’s not their country and therefore they shouldn’t have a position of power in another countries problems, additionally most likely the stats that were stated in Neyos post are blown out of proportion. Nothing will happen, even from local countries, people will condemn The governments actions but it’s up the the country to sort themselves out. So stop saying “it’s up to us Africans” we as race and as humanity as a whole want unity, stop trying to divide and acting as ‘you’ are alone in this. Your not. If you want change go to the country.

valeriechiriseri @chumbins unfortunately being african it feels like it as with most things we tend to be at the bottom of the totem poll to get help weather u want to accept that or not. Yes america coming in is war but not the UN army or a neutral party or where are the ambassadors from the peace loving countries making a move to help. Forget that but only aljzeera is the only internationally renowned news channel giving this situation any meaningful coverage so...... yes understood boundaries etc but Neyos point showed a fact we already knew as Africans. The human race tend to look away when we go through tough times

valeriechiriseri @gooooo.awaaaaaay most of the world don't care if Africans are killing themselves what response have u ever seen from world in a scenario like that? This is a classic example of the standard response we as Africans get when something terrible happens in our continent (with the exception that it may pose a risk to developed countries like when Ebola hit). I am not shocked by this at all that's all I am saying. As Africans we have to start looking to ourselves as our redeemers. U ask any african and they will tell u the same.
