It’s been a busy time at the sanctuary, and thanks to a grant from the @kevinrichardsonfoundation , we were able to complete a series of laparoscopic spays for our residents. I hope you enjoy part one of the sanctuary spay videos. And for those asking, while it would be easier to vasectomize the males, the females would then still go through heat cycles repeatedly, causing the males to mate with no conception. This results in increased levels of aggression of males, between males and females who are essentially always being mounted by the males with little or no reprieve. dewdryte I am very curious as to why you need to spay these particular animals? Do you not want to breed them? As they are in decline. By the way I love your connection with the animals and also the work that you do. ♥️

charrafi Why do you shoot the dark into the lions so close? It seems like it would go into them so hard because the guy is so close. Just asking. Love all you do and all the animals.

ea.newman Beautiful animals. Always been a dream to have a sanctuary like that when im older since i have such a huge heart and passion for animals. Think im gonna leave it you tho.

belle_la_vies Do you sometimes worry spaying could change their personality then that following thru to their connection with you?. (That said I 100% agree with spaying).
