This hit me hard. Life is precious, people are precious. You never know what someone might be going through, it never hurts to show compassion. I assumed he was living the life, so much potential, such a great person, so many people who loved him, our brains can be so extremely complicated. RIP Eric Zaun, you will be deeply missed 💔🙏🏼 ⠀⠀
Let’s de stigmatize professional help, I’ve asked for and gotten it, my sister had to call for me, and I know so many others it’s helped as well. ☎️1-800-273-TALK, swipe for more info.

Thank you sooo much for this @aprilrossbeach
The tricky part about something like this, is sometimes people, like Eric, show ZERO signs. A similar thing happened with a college athlete friend of mine. Successful, attractive, great body, great student, so friendly, always a smile, tons of friends, etc etc etc...
But there were demons inside... somewhere... and he never let them out, or never let them be seen by anyone. So you hit it on the head... we just have to be kind to people, BE KIND. Even if you think someone has the world at their fingertips, because you just never know what’s going on inside.

Thank you for putting yourself out there for awareness. I lost my brother 8yrs ago and this breaks my heart for his family and friends. Many years of hurt and loss will be felt by all that knew him. I hope he found peace and is making friends with my brother because they would be epic together. RIP Eric and MHMF.

@aprilrossbeach April you are a tremendous role model and you represent yourself , USC and the AVP impeccably . Your heart , your soul and your desire could never be replicated by anybody. Keep winning and stay healthy and happy. Look forward to seeing you on Sundays in the finals on NBC. ✌?

Thank you @aprilrossbeach. Just read the blog. Beautiful. Thank you for talking so candidly about mental health, recognizing the signs and how to get help. I bet someone is reading that and it will end up saving theirs or a loved one’s life.

It’s sad and yes awareness is the key to the many stigmatizisms out there! A lot of young athletes are struggling with this very thing at this time, Thank you @ApriRoss for hopefully bringing it to a bigger stage????

Giving prized possessions away is another red flag to look out for as well ?
