MJ coached me for 18 years of my skating career and has had such a positive influence in my life. She was the coach who taught me basic skating but she was also the coach who worked on triple axels with me. She wasn't the coach at the boards later in my career but she was always there with me in spirit. No matter where I trained through the years, I always spent part of my time at the Prescott Figure Skating Club and had lessons with Mary Jayne. * At the same awards dinner, I was named 2019 Sportsperson of the Year. This is an honour as we have so many great athletes in our community.
