He brought a dog to the apt without informing anyone which again @airbnb is AGAINST your policy and applies for a refund, also I’m allergic to dogs, so how is that ok to not inform at guest that you’ll be bringing an animal when your guest could be allergic? Woman from Airbnb customer support said a host doesn’t need to inform a guest of a pet, hmm then how come it says in your own company’s fine print that that is NOT allowed? All Airbnb did was reach out to our host and ask if he had a dog, what do you think this man is gonna say? Obviously that he DOESNT have a dog. We had our first stay at Airbnb so we were naive and didn’t think to take pictures, I just find it ironic that WE are guilty until proven innocent, yet our host can accuse us of all types of outlandish things, and he doesn’t need to provide any evidence? Also you do realize a host can fake “facts”?? It’s really not that hard for them to do....ok...yeah will NOT be using you guys again absolutely disgusting how you handle these types of situations. Absolutely no help and maybe you should change your return policy considering your employees don’t even listen or acknowledge them

@airbnb such a disappointment lately. I’ve always used Airbnb and have even told all my friends and coworkers to use it, but I’m very disappointed with them as one of their hosts has been inactive and I had to cancel my reservation 7 days before my trip! I called three days in a row and finally had to get very upset for them to say they would give me a refund. They offered an extra $40 for all the inconvenience. Wow! ? The best part is they said I have to wait another THREE days to get reimbursed. They have to give the host 24 hour notice! Why didn’t they give host notice the first day I called?! And to top it off I’m the one who realized the host was inactive! Good thing my fiancé and friends didn’t trust @airbnb or we would have been stranded with no place to sleep! P.S. there’s nothing available to book now as there’s a festival in town! ? I won’t use them ever again. Hotels at least are reliable.

Airbnb will CENSOR you! Do not trust the reviews you see on Airbnb, we confronted our host and told him we were not happy with our experience and he tried to BRIBE US to give a POSITIVE REVIEW when we DECLINED this offer he then did everything in his power to make us look bad, lying and saying we destroyed his apt, stole things, etc. he violated Airbnb’s review policy, yet OUR review was removed when we did NOTHING wrong, do NOT trust the reviews you read, some negative ones have been deleted! Airbnb is CENSORING their customer base and not giving a true representation of hosts!

Airbnb has more than been disappointing!! As a new referral I will not be using them again and would highly recommend not using them yourself. Customer service is horrible and has no “time frame” for call backs. Very inconvenient if you are on vacation! Not to mention they charged my debit card for no apparent reason and while they say this is “an unfortunate situation” my deposit for any other vacation rental is now put on hold for 7-10 days while I wait for my refund.

The only power we had in he situation was that we were able to leave our VERY TRUTHFUL review of our host, since Airbnb wasn’t going to help us at all, and Airbnb got RID of that negative review which AGAIN is against their OWN policy. Tried to take our voice away but we will continue to fight! If a company cannot listen to their own rules/follow them you should probably NOT USE THEM
