last year we contributed to the Cross Parliamentary Environmental Audit Committee’s Inquiry into the Sustainability of the U.K. Fashion Industry alongside some other amazingly positive designers and companies. It was the biggest Inquiry ever made into the Fashion Industry. It is with great sadness to see that the U.K. Government HAS ESSENTIALLY REJECTED *EVERY SINGLE* RECOMMENDATION MADE BY THE COMMITTEE. While the world continues to heat up the Fashion Industry will continue to INCINERATE EXCESS OVERPRODUCED STOCK. Masses and masses of fast fashion will continue to be sold without ANY RECYCLING INITIATIVES BEING PUT INTO PLACE TO MANAGE IT ONCE IT REACHES LANDFILL. It is very disappointing that our government cannot comprehend or act on the huge impact that our industry makes on our planet and the people on it. This has made it even more startlingly obvious that no one will clean up the fashion industry apart from ourselves. Our efforts must only double. Nobody else is going to do it for us.

leoandtod @phoebeenglish I was there at the V&A as well and I’m so disappointed! It’s up to us entrepreneurs to make a difference, here we’re renting children’s clothes. We can’t give up lobbying as well, we can’t!

knitlabni Extremely disappointing news! We need to be a tad more rebellious in showing the public the behaviour fast fashion takes on after they dispose of it! Undercut the businesses and corps!
