mgsevenfouro @westcoastearthphotography as the owner of both a Planet Ocean XL as well a Rolex Submariner- I will say this: Rolex is by no means a pushover, however you come off a real fanboy that’s big mad bc Rolex has been outdone here. “They has to put ultra deep on the dial” .... uhhh Rolex put “DeepSea” on theirs- same thing? ?‍♂️ Rolex has been beaten for now. Add in that they have insane waiting lists for virtually every steel sports model, a lot of people are saying fuck it and buying Omega and other brands. Rolex is a bit overrated imo. If it came down to selling the PO or the Sub, the Sub would be gone long before the PO would in my collection.

tuckachelli659 @ac089 No my friend, you’ve definitely missed the point. You can’t even buy this watch. It’s an example of Omega’s technical prowess in their arms race with Rolex. In a similar way to Ferrari making track-only super cars that cost millions of dollars that only certain people are given the opportunity to buy. Another example of their technical prowess - it’s really not worth getting hung up on though. If everyone thought “what’s the point?” then the human race wouldn’t have developed half the innovations that it has...

ac089 @tuckachelli659 i think u missed the point , i can drive a ferrari 200mph on a road or track it is so easy to get to that speed in them. Yet its physically impossible to go that far . I think the world record was slightly over 200m dive. People with tons of training can go to about 30 to 40m training the pressure is so high for a average body . And with those robotic things u can bring a China made replica to work

mgsevenfouro @tomlindstrom yeah that’s a lot of shit lol. Oh well. I love my Submariner No date, I love my Omega Planet Ocean. Can’t go wrong with either but being a fanboy and bashing other brands especially when they outdid your fav brand is childish. Both are highly respected watch brands.
