Let there be light! ☀️The longest day of the year has arrived in the northern hemisphere. Thousands of people gather at Stonehenge in England every year to celebrate summer solstice. The 4,500-year-old Neolithic monument, which is still surrounded in mystery, is characterized by a ring of stones, some nine meters high, and offers insight into the dawn of astronomy. In the early hours of the morning on June 21st, the sun rises above Stonehenge's Heel Stone, which stands on the avenue leading up to the monument's Stone Circle. The morning rays shine directly into the center of the site.
