The one and so far only time I've been to NYC was back in the 1990's. I was so looking forward to visiting the Guggenheim but wouldn't you know it, the building was closed for renovation. Even the exterior was mostly obscured by scaffolding and it was an overcast day too boot. But at least I got to see what I could see of it.
