Landed in BHM airport for #kultureball and saw @kulturecity #sensoryroom 💙 made me tear up knowing there is a place for Greyson when he’s overwhelmed 🥰🥰🥰 The challenge that our society now faces is helping families capture the array of abilities and talents that the children have while enabling them to cope with the special issues that so commonly mark the children’s lives. It can be done. “KultureCity® is asking for that acceptance. Little by little, we are changing kulture, and pushing boundaries. We’re not offering grand solutions, but instead, simple things that work. Things like helping businesses reach these children and their families with small changes in their practices. Ipads for the ones who are non-verbal, art and music camps for the ones who have never been exposed to them, scholarships for families that cannot afford lessons, respite care and toys just to brighten up their days and show them and their families that WE as a community care. “Our children might have autism, but autism does not have them.”
