Still house hunting almost every Sunday. Going on two years now 😭 Why does San Diego make it so hard!? My list is definitely too long and our budget a little too low to check all the boxes but man, it’s been harder than i thought. I kind of get discouraged and then paralyzed and end up not wanting to do anything at all. (tell me I’m not the only one). I struggle with big decisions and all the ‘what if’s’ that are tied to it. Trying to let go and trust that we will just know when the right thing comes along.

We spent about a year and a half house hunting in OC every weekend from HB down to Mission Viejo. We made 9 OFFERS with over 50% down before we got our home. And we wouldn’t get them for seriously BIZARRE reasons. Like “we actually already accepted an offer but our agent didn’t know” or “the seller decided not to counter any offers (with us having been willing to go 50k over ask)...Our realtor even said he’d never seen anything like it! We were starting to question the God we always knew and trusted and his plan. But man, did he know what he was doing! Our house now is everything we wanted and so much more than we ever dreamed possible but it took time for all the right pieces to fall into place. I’m sure God has a bigger plan for your house search too!

We are looking right now too (outside of Seattle) and I relate to this so much!! It’s a constant up and down of every emotion and then when we decide to make an offer I feel so much sudden doubt and anxiety and the paralysis sets in. We’ve had a few things fall through and i am exhausted but still hopeful, trying not to get attached to anything toooo much. The SD market seems even more intense!!

We used to live in San Diego. I feel your pain. We had a house there that we bought when we were first married for 450 fixed it up and sold it for 650... we drove by it 5 years ago and it was for sale for 1 million! Things have skyrocketed. We live in Idaho now, I wouldn’t change anything for the world. But I here you! And I need to know where you got that crocheted piece above the bed!

My husband and I went through the same thing and while I was pregnant with my first child! So frustrating that we couldn’t find anything in our price range. We were getting outbid on everything! Then I got the call literally while I was in the delivery room, that our offer had been accepted. Keep praying and believing that the right home will present itself. ❤️

Oh girl you are not alone!!! ❤️ It is so hard and I know exactly how it is! We *only* searched for a year but I got so discouraged during that time as well. So much tougher than I imagined it would be! But, we ended up finding the one and it just felt like home. Checked all our most important boxes and we are so, so happy here. I know yours is out there! ?

We are house hunting right now too in portland...it’s literally the worst (especially in San Diego). It is worth it in the end, I can say that but man is the process brutal.
