I wanted something that felt vintage-y, but not like a costume. I wanted to be able to move easily (and dance!) in the dress. And I needed something that would flatter my boobs. But I apart from that, I had no idea! The experience of purchasing the dress was really lovely - my first visit was with my bridesmaids, and it just flew by! We were really well looked after. The only difficulty was that I loved everything in the shop, so narrowing it down was really hard. So I came back a second time with my mum to make the final choice, which was also lovely.
