When it came to designing the American ambassador’s house in Vienna, @kenfulk knew it was going to be an easy feat. "The challenge here was to make a circa-1930 Bauhaus-style official residence feel representative of a young family that has such warmth and joie de vivre," he says. For the living room, Fulk settled on armchairs that are upholstered in a Jab Anstoetz velvet. J. & J. Kohn dining chairs and an Adolf Loos cocktail table, which are antiques, along with a @starkcarpet, complete the space. A photograph by William Eggleston appears over the original 1930s mantel.
