WOW...It’s truly astounding what you can accomplish with love, community and friendship! THANK YOU Emma Stone for being such a stellar human being. Because of you @emandfriendsofficial @lcoggiola @yesornoah @mrsbrendachavez @knowleskarateacademy @rubensteingetsreal our awesome principal Pauline Hong and so many other amazing volunteers, sponsors and people who donated, we raised enough money to bring a Musical Theater program to the kids of Van Ness Elementary for next year! Our school has been operating our arts programs on a purely volunteer basis for years now as these programs are not considered essential to the @laschools curriculum and receive no funding . WE DISAGREE! So many children in this city have no access to the arts, music or theater in their local schools and as we know ALL kids are creative and need to find ways to express that energy in various forms. Without support for our public schools by their communities so many kids will never have the chance to explore their true talents or find out what their souls are calling them to do here on earth. I for one refuse to let that happen and am beyond grateful for the people around me who won’t stand for it either! Thank YOU @rachelgoodwinmakeup @yesornoah @lcoggiola for organizing and to Emma Stone for hosting this incredible event! We’re beyond grateful for the generosity of so many friends and community supporters to give all the kids at Van Ness Elementary an amazing Theater Program next year and so thrilled to have been a small part of it. Shoutout to @melissablazek99 & @melissanichols1122 who don’t even have kids at the school but volunteered their time for the event anyways!

??Amazing work! Sad, no funding for theater, in Hollywood?! ironic, right? Here in Marin all public school arts are also 100% supported by parent donations, we would not have it without them. Arts in school is essential, just as Important (if not more!) than spelling!!! Thank you ?
