The acute water shortage has forced the city to scramble for urgent solutions and residents have to stand in line for hours to get water from government tanks. francischristy141 Chennai is a typical example of man made disaster and an eye opener for India and entire world.Once covered with marshes and swamps chennai was made a metro by unscientific mismanagement and greed of human.Remember 2015 Chennai floods when entire city drowned since all water channels and wet lands was destroyed or encroached . Ground water depleted dangerously and the aftermath came like this. Dear keralites learn from your neighbour ,save ur remaining paddy fields and wetlands stop demolishing hills and conserve ur western ghats. We need to wake up and stop treating soil as a business commodity and treat as ur food donor. I may sound like an environmentalist blabbering but i am just a common man , afraid of future outcomes. In childhood we learned ,third world war might be for water and i realise it can happen .

squarebbbb If we remain just as "Resource unresponsible" as we are now , doomsday is staring us at face. In last 50 -100 years we have done everything to destroy our planet and the last 20 years being the darkest. Our parents and forefathers are/were much more advanced in terms of maintaining ecological balance than us. If we still don't learn and implement eco friendly practices at each juncture then god save us. Let's be resource responsible from this very moment. And let's shun single use unnecessary plastics .
