AD | As lots of you will know, this year I am an ambassador for @ww.uk (formerly known as Weight Watchers) and each month I like to update you on how it’s been going on! 💫
.
We’re fully in the swing of Summer 🌞and I know for some of us, especially Mums, life can get pretty hectic. The kids are at home, you’re juggling different childcare routines with work, the world and his wife are having BBQ’s every time the sun pops out, you might be going away on holiday, it’s wedding season, you might have events, it’s all kicking off lads!
.
I’ve shared more on my stories but my biggest tip is positive preparation! I’ve found that if I go into the day with no plan, I feel lost with what I’m doing, I graze at everything, I don’t make great choices and then I feel a bit bleagh afterwards. Now, I’m not saying don’t enjoy yourself or treat yourself (I’m never going to say that haha), but I do find if I get to the end of the day and I’ve made healthy choices, I feel good💖. So, my main tool is the WW App. It has tonnes of amazing foodie ideas, it has the points value of everything (so you can pre-budget and then not feel overwhelmed when you get to that BBQ etc) and it also has that lovely community of other WW members who are all super friendly and affirming. Sometimes, I just look back at the meals and snacks I’ve tracked in previous months and think, ‘ohhhh yes, that was a good one’ and feel inspired by my past self haha! Thanks 2018 Louise! .
Summer doesn’t have to mean it all falls apart, we can totally do this! I’d love to hear if you do anything in the summer to keep a little bit on track with things or if you’ve tried any new ways to keep (relatively ha) healthy! Let me know in the comments! #WellnessThatWorks #LouisePentlandStyle

Louise, I love your wholesome content and your gorgeous clothes and cute children. But I don't agree with you promoting diets. Weight watchers can call themselves whatever they like... They are still a DIET company. And as someone who used to struggle with body image a lot- until I found Body Positivity (thank you @bodyposipanda and @scarrednotscared ?) - I know how triggering this can be for people with body image problems or people who have/ are recovering from eating disorders. Diet companies make money from making us feel bad about our habits and our bodies and I don't think it's right to use such a public platform, which could be seen by vulnerable young people, to advertise dieting. I'm sorry, but I had to call it out.

Pro autonomy and if you want to do it then go for it. But promoting it is so disappointing. This is a company that profits off of diet culture, suggesting you assign points to food and then limit those points. It leeches off of women who feel bad about how they look because of societal standards that are out of line with reality. Not to mention this can be triggering for anyone with a history of disordered eating, and just plain demoralising for fat people to see you backing the “smaller is better” mindset. Will continue to follow because you’re just so fabulous but would love if you’d reconsider promoting this to your followers.

Stop it! This is just gorgeous. The “here I am world” confidence. The whimsy. The geese and swan in the background. This picture Screams summer. And to the critics, though I do not use it now, years ago WW helped me improve my health and get to a better place with food. And this was way before they changed their business model to be less weight focused. I understand that diet culture can be toxic, but I can’t knock the program. I had a very positive experience while on it and feel the effect it can have on a persons health is important.

I hope you don't mind me adding onto this a suggestion, just I think intermittent fasting could really help as well. I just started it and I eat in an 8 hour window- e.g. 10am-6pm. It helps stop me grazing all evening and it really helps you lose weight as once your food is used up your body starts using far as fuel during the 16 hour fast overnight. You can move that 8 hour window daily to fit your lifestyle. I totally agree planning is so key

@imogenchristy I completely agree with you and didn't notice your comment until I posted my own- saying something very similar! There could be so many vulnerable people in her following and not only that but she's helping companies make money from making us feel bad about our habits and our bodies.

@roesgallaway My attention span is too lacking for YouTube ? I totally respect her own personal reasons for wanting to lose weight, and I have no problem with her making any decision about her own lifestyle. But what I don’t understand is the decision to promote it. Am I missing something?
