"The collection takes inspiration from my time as an impressionable teen in the mid 90s, I was in love with the riot grrl movement and totally inspired by kick ass front women. I wanted to design shoes that you could mosh in, shoes that could pair back with girly socks or torn tights and shoes that let you express your inner front woman. When I was in this era I was desperate for Dr. Martens but at the time they were hard to find in my size. jorowse @mushyrhirhi Dr Martens do a fair few vegan shoes and boots which is more than most shoe companies do. Considering Dr Martens have got a huge history of making leather boots I think they are doing quite well. Don't forget this is a collaboration so maybe it's not 100% Dr Martens fault?! Also not everyone on this planet is a vegan so why should non vegans have to buy vegan boots any more than you should have to buy leather?

mushyrhirhi I was so hoping that (after the sneak peak of the sandals) that the collection would all be vegan ? I honestly would have bought th boots at the very least! I live the design of the whole collection

novawood_ @tifsaii it’s funny that she explains how these shoes were her dream and she is so happy to have made them when it’s just creepers with the Dr Martens sole and heart buckles ???‍♀️
