The walk out to Delicate Arch at #Arches National Park is a mile and a half and steadily uphill. There’s very little shade, so it can be very hot in the summer months. Also, due to its popularity, crowds can form, taking seats on the red rocks surrounding this #Utah icon. But these minor details do nothing to damper the thrill of watching the sunset at this spectacular place. Put it on your bucketlist. sam.chels There is an alternative view point to the arch. You have to make a path of your own (hike is no more difficult than the original hike) but no crowds. My boyfriend and I were the only one there. You can see a panoramic of the view on my profile.

lisabuniew This view at the top is totally worth it. Did this hike in Sept in 90 degree heat. Also, d'ont miss Park Avenue hike which was recommend by a park ranger. Very unique landscaping mimicking the NY City sky line!

kp_yo Isn’t the hike all the way up to it 3 miles? I was there Monday and we did the one mile which was just to the upper view point - I needed my inhaler ?

noremac_nacnud Was just there. Probably the most difficult hike I've ever done, but I completely forgot how tired I was when I got to the Arch. Truly incredible view.
