She is wise, cautious, gentle, and fragile as she ages. My friend Marven Robinson of the Gitga’at believes she is 17 to 19 years old. To look into her eyes is truly a gift. Someday she will be gone, but she has spent a lifetime being an icon of her surroundings while inspiring people to care about this precious British Columbia coast. She was an important character in helping defeat the Northern Gateway Pipeline.
