Who wants to win a #StarsandStripes handmade cutting board by my pal @nywoodworker? I will pick a random winner from my comments if you follow both me and @nywoodworker, live in the USA and answer this correctly... how many people signed the Declaration of Independence on July 4th 1776?

@melissajoanhart Following both of you my husband would be so so trill if I can win this for him. I actually been trying to save to get one for him but so winning it will be a huge blessing?. Anyways, ?regarding the answer it was a total of 56 delegates that eventually sign the Declaration of Independence, however the dates have been disputed as when it was actually signed. It is believed that the Final draft was approved by congress on July 4th 1776 but Historians believe that is was actually signed on August 2, 1776 a month after it was Adopted. ?

There are varying beliefs of when it was actually signed but the belief most accepted by historians is that no one signed it on July 4th and that most delegates signed on August 2nd. So I suppose the correct answer is whichever version you choose to subscribe to! I would love to win this beautiful piece!!!! Fingers crossed ?!

Zero! Nobody voted on or signed the Declaration of Independence on July 4th. That was the date the Declaration was announced to the world, and that's why it was ultimately chosen as Independence Day. ??

56 signatures! God Bless America! ?? Another fun fact....did you know Thomas Jefferson and John Adams passed away on the same day and it just happened to be our country's 50th birthday (July 4, 1826)?

34 delegates signed on July 4th and the rest of them signed on August 2nd. They were not all present on July 4th to sign it and some of them were not yet a member of congress.
