@sha_beck what does any of that have to do with the fact that a pregnant woman took her anger and frustration and turned it into a violent crime? Have you for one second thought that this woman endangered a DEFENSELESS unborn child? That she was going to become a mother and should have done everything she could to protect that child from danger? Does only her life matter? I do use my energy in a positive way but it confuses me how out of context her entire post is on this situation. This woman in no way is a victim she chose to get pregnant in doing so she took on every responsibility being a mother is. Starting an altercation instead of having a civil conversation with someone is never ever the answer to something. Bottom line is she made another person feel as if their life was endangered. Was the other person expected to let this woman attack them simply because she was pregnant? It wasn't the other persons fault for defending themselves they did what almost any other person would do if felt threatened by another.

@karlo_shizz i totally agree that the end goal is freedom for these problem, and trust me I think this and many other issues lately are absolutely appalling. Any help is great for sure. Didn’t mean to offend you. I am a big fan of the kardashians and of greys 100%. That wasn’t my point. I think justice absolutely matters above all for sure. But the road to justice does too I think. If an admin feels the road doesn’t matter then that can be a dangerous slope and opens doors to corruption and really, situations like this exact issue Ellen is bringing attention to. In no way am I saying Kim’s efforts are corrupt, they’re coming from a place of caring and integrity 100% , it’s more just the fact that the current admin has select people aka the top 1% that he will listen to and not many others. Just makes the path to justice more challenging and def more subjective (to him) and it shouldn’t be like that. That’s all I was saying :). Hope that makes more sense.

@ellenpompeo My only thing is I just read the entire story and the 5 month pregnant mother you’re talking about jumped out of a car to attack a girl she worked with I’m guessing because she was sleeping with or talking to the babies father. When this happened the pregnant woman’s friends jumped out of the car and ran up to the fight too and the woman who shot the gun was shooting out of defense because she had multiple women coming up to her trying to fight her. She shot the gun as a warning at the ground and it ricocheted back into the pregnant woman’s stomach.... Let me ask you one question, why are you 5 months pregnant putting yourself and your unborn baby in harms way by jumping out of a car for one, then preceding to GET INTO A PHYSICAL ALTERCATION KNOWING YOURE CARRYING A CHILD?! I mean let’s be really honest here she deserves some jail time....

@arnettebez no sorry didn’t mean murder my the mother, I mean if it had been 5 shots like Ellen is stating here (I can’t find an article that says that but numerous that say it was a warning shot to ground that flashed back accidentally to tummy of the one woman) than the person with the gun would have been charged with murder cause how could you possibly think 5 shots to a pregnant belly wouldn’t result in death of the baby and would also be attempted murder of the mother. It was deemed self defence because of the nature of the single shot to ground and witnesses. People shouldn’t have a gun without the knowledge and training required to use them properly and safely. A warning shot like people see in tv shows doesn’t always work the way intended and this is a tragic case of that my gosh. Glad to hear charges were dropped.

@an_mueller306 that person is at fault as well. My original post stated that. The person that pulled the trigger should be held accountable as well. But no one wants to read what is actually written or think about these matters in a logical way. They just want to fly off the handle and react emotionally. I mean take a look at all the names I am being called for simply saying people should be accountable for their actions. So much hate thrown my way for asking that people think before they act or face the consequences. I don’t care about race or social class. We all should be held accountable for our decisions. They can negatively impact others. That’s all. But apparently because of that I’m a bigot, a racist, I’m annoying, I’m entitled. It’s sad. No one will pause, take a moment and think about what it is that’s being said.

Pregnant woman do crazy things every day, they're most likely to drive their husband or family member insane but we put up with them because of the hormones. It might not make any sense but whether or not she start a fight I dont think she deserve to be in jail at all. I do agree with @ellenpompeo she needs medical attention she could be a danger to herself or others if she's not mentally stable. There is no justice in that. As i read the add it says she got shot in the stomach 5 times which clearly mean that the person who shot her intented to kill her unborn child. Why not shoot her on the leg? The arm? In the head? Why her stomach?? She could have turn the other cheek and walk away but if she had to use force shooting her was not optional. She dererve to be in jail as well....
