Mimuroto Temple(#三室戸寺), also known as the Temple of Flowers and the Temple of #Hydrangeas(#紫陽花), is located in #UjiCity(#宇治市) of southern #Kyoto(#京都)⛩💠 . This temple is a special division of the main temple, and was built in 770 during the Nara Period. Every year, many pilgrims pass through #MimurotoTemple as a stop on their 33 stop pilgrimage through the Kinki and Tokai regions. . The Temple of Flowers got its nickname because of the various flowers that beautifully decorate the temple grounds all year round. Out of all the seasons, the hydrangeas that bloom in June are by far the best. Over 10,000 flowers colorfully fill up the area.
