I’ve gotten a few questions here on IG if I loved colette more since I’m posting about her way more than chloe. Honestly when I read those comments and DMs I Literally laughed out loud but also figured it would be a great opportunity to talk about social media and kids.
My life and work revolve around the internet and social media. I signed up for it, but my daughters didn’t. It has recently been on my mind to talk to you all about how I’m structuring boundaries on social media for my family – specifically with Chloe and Colette. It wasn’t ever a concern for me until Chloe started getting older.
Anyways I share more about my thoughts on this and how I’m creating boundaries for my family on @thechrisellefactor today. Also I would love to hear your thoughts on this and if you’re a parent how you create boundaries for you & your kids with social media. I would love to learn from you guys as well. 👶🏻👧🏻 link in bio

The people that write that sort of thing clearly don’t have children - and also, what on earth would cross your mind to say such an odd thing to someone!!! I used to have a public Instagram with 700 followers, but I decided to make mine private as it’s basically now a memory page for myself and my daughters so it’s now a private account with 250 followers either of people I know or other mother’s I’ve met through Instagram that I’ve formed an amazing online relationship with through being mothers. I think internet safety is so important, especially when you have girls (that’s just a personal opinion) and I think you’re doing the right thing especially as Chloe gets older. Also, you’re amazing ??

@chrisellelim All of us old school followers of you know all the challenges you faced before having your children so please post whatever you please and like . Everyone loves to blab their two cents and quite frankly I feel our children are our most precious accomplishments so I say F off to the haters and idiots making comments like that ! I love both your girls but mainly you for being a mentor and a positive influence on my life I think we may be around the same age you also grew up in the Bay Area so I am a supporter of all that you do and share . We are lucky you share your children with us ! To that I say thank you and I love you !!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Post whatever you like whenever you like darling. It is your life and your children. I have 2 little girls one is 3yrs old so she’s the youngest so of coarse I’d post her more which is not as much anyways-as opposed to my 11yr old tween girl who is so busy with school maintaining nothing but straight A’s, research (she wants to be a scientist and go to Harvard) and deal with other things like peer pressure etc while I take care of my toddler at home, teach her pre school, give her more one on one time since she needs my attention the most. People need to mind their MFk’n business! Damn @chrisellelim

I think parents get taken away with posting way too much on social media about their kids. To put it nicely, moms will always believe that others care to see their kids on social media every single day. I always wonder why moms just cant put the phone away and keep that sacred time for themselves and their kids. It gets too annoying. I've seen parents who create accounts of their kids and keep it private for only close friends and families. That's a healthy boundary.

Well, I’m just as confused. My son recently bagged himself 2 endorsements just by making friends at the mall ( he’s so forward) I have been advised to create a social media presence for him (since more calls have been trooping in since the last 2.) I’m scared and skeptical since he’s only 2 and I don’t know how to protect him as a kid model. What do you think ? @chrisellelim

It’s good to set boundaries and I think you do it well, for me I was on the journey with you though out your pregnancy and her birth and it’s a joy to watch her grow. I think you are a great Mom, they both seem to be so happy and content. It natural for at first to have Colette with you because you were breastfeeding! Keep doing you!?❤️
