Are ZOO’S conducive to a happy animal? Watch the video and you decide. And who ever said photography was a safe occupation?? Via @マイケル・ミュラー Video by unknown DM for credit

This elephant doesn't look to happy, but the zoo looks like shit! Are zoos a good thing for animals 🤔 in a perfect world we wouldn't need them but having worked in 1 for many years I've seen first hand the good they can do for animals! There are good & bad zoos like everything else in the world! A lot of the animals have been rescued or born in captivity & can't live in the wild due to humans being shit in general, poaching & ripping natural environment down, this is sad in it self but there are a lot of zoos that have great breeding programs & really do want the best for the animals, are they perfect far from it but the good 1s will try to help animals 🌍❤️

This elephant is in musth.. it is not safe for people to take pics near it.. zoo’s must keep warnings for a safe distance.. elephants are gentle and innocent.. however times like this they dont know what they are doing.. hope the girl is fine as such a blow can be fatal.. ?

One elephant in a pit isn't a zoo. This isn't even in the US. I agree this is not a happy animal but this place can't call itself a zoo. Idiot tourists like these people, are enabling horrible places like this to abuse animals.

They’re animals .... remember that they can react to whatever environment they’re in. Same as swimming with killer whales and then next thing you heard someone got drowned and bitten by it.

The Temporin secretion on the side of the head is a pretty clear indication that the elephant is in musth, and probably shouldn’t be interacting with people.

Nit blaming the girl but maybe that elephant got fed up by the constant photo sessions ir felt threatened by it
