@jakeladuca7 The D850 isn't one step better. Don't let marketing fool you. Do you need 45.7 megapixels and practically the same ISO performance? It mostly depends on you. I'd take the 10 FPS (without a grip) over the 7 FPS on the D850 (without a grip) and I'll also take the advantage of the AF points covering almost the entire image area. For wildlife, the D500 is highly recommended and it excels at landscapes and astrophotography as well. I'd recommend that you use the remaining money to buy high quality lenses!

@jakeladuca7 You're welcome! Nikon USA don't care about people here, they only care about marketing. I recently got the D7500 (same sensor and processing engine as the D500) and I was blown away by how high I could push the ISO and still get a usable image. I shot a photo of a spider last night at ISO 32000 and it looked great on my 24-inch monitor! As for the shooting speed, you're talking about 153 AF points and 10 FPS burst shooting on the D500.

@photographybynima damn you really know your cameras! Thank you for all the advice on the D500. I’m probably gonna get the Nikkor 200-500mm lens for a wildlife zoom but do you have any suggestions on the wide angle lens? I don’t wanna spend more than $1000 on a wide angle lens because I don’t really have the money for it

@photographybynima yea I was deciding whether to get the D500 or just save some more money and get the D850 since it’s just one step better than the D500. I’m mostly looking to do wildlife photography but I also wanna do some landscape stuff too but when I really look at it the price is in the lenses

Hi! I have been looking at the D500 for wildlife photography and astrophotography. Would you recommend that?
