Around 700 C.E., chinese alchemists mixed potassium nitrate with sulfur and charcoal, inadvertently stumbling upon the crude recipe for gunpowder. They were actually searching for an elixir of immortality, but made fireworks instead. The Italians later invented the aerial shell... By the late 15th century the Ottoman empire took that technology and started using firearms in its main infantry. The first rapid-fire firearm is the Gatling Gun, employed by the Union forces during the American Civil War in the 1860s. (Ironic that something which started as a potion of immortality evolved into a recipe for mass murder.) But england had it coming...! Happy independence day! 💥

The U.S. has a bad reputation for changing the victory conditions just before the war's end in order to end the war when things were going badly. Can the judicial system really place partitions that are semi imaginary in the way of Justice or are we still descendants of the the first Judges and every decision hence. I'm going to open an interdimensional rift and get the heck out of here; after I watch tonights fireworks. ...for the kiddies.

Also ironic that said recipe for mass murder was invented by troops fighting to end one of the great atrocities in human history. Far more have died from slavery than gunfire. So, I guess, thanks to the Chinese alchemists who gave good men the power to stop evil men.
