ニック・グリムショーさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ニック・グリムショーInstagram)「Today in London 1.5 million people are predicted to come out and celebrate Pride. My friends and I are throwing a fundraiser to raise money for @aktcharity, a charity that helps homeless LGBTQ+ young people. Kids who have been shamed and thrown out by their families for being who they are. For me growing up gay I felt really sad and would cry about it but thankfully I was never made homeless by my family. I felt shame and guilt and I prayed that I would wake up “normal.” There was bullying, constant jibes and a general consensus from society, Catholic school, TV, newspapers etc that being gay was gross or weird or funny or wrong. This constant narrative does terrible things for your mental wellbeing and sense of self worth and you lose respect for yourself. Hence: Pride. Which is why today we must go out and celebrate but also help people in less fortunate, more complicated situations. If you would like to contribute click the link in my bio to buy a raffle ticket - you can win amazing posh prizes too - swipe left to see them! Or you can go on their website and donate anything you like. No young person should have to choose between who they are and a safe place to live.」7月6日 19時14分 - nicholasgrimshaw
