This morning, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was christened in the Private Chapel at Windsor Castle at an intimate service officiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are so happy to share the joy of this day with members of the public who have been incredibly supportive since the birth of their son. They thank you for your kindness in welcoming their first born and celebrating this special moment.

Their Royal Highnesses feel fortunate to have enjoyed this day with family and the godparents of Archie.

Their son, Archie, was baptised wearing the handmade replica of the royal christening gown which has been worn by royal infants for the last 11 years. The original Royal Christening Robe, made of fine Honiton lace lined with white satin, was commissioned by Queen Victoria in 1841 and first worn by her eldest daughter. It was subsequently worn for generations of Royal christenings, including The Queen, her children and her grandchildren until 2004, when The Queen commissioned this handmade replica, in order for the fragile historic outfit to be preserved, and for the tradition to continue.

klynasarria Buenas tardes. Escribo desde un país subdesarrollado, pero al ver estos comentarios tan absurdos, poco coherentes, siento que los subdesarrollados son otros. En Inglaterra no les enseñan a respetar? los príncipes deberían, en lugar de hacer tantas obras sociales que nadie agradece, deberían implementar sistemas en los colegios, para que les enseñen el arte de respetar la vida de las personas, también, que la envidia es mala, que no vivan la vida de otros, que miren sus vidas y que aquí solo lleguen a admirar la familia que han construido estas personas que tango bien le hacen a los suyos. Que culpa esta gente tiene de ser millonarios? Ojala Dios le de a estas personas tranquilidad emocional, inteligencia emocional. Felicidades, tienen una linda foto familiar. Ya quisiera yo tener una gran foto familiar como esta. Dios los siga bendiciendo y gracias ... desde aquí, país subdesarrollado, por lo que hacen por la salud mental de las personas y lo que hacen por los animales... Creo que estos últimos si agradecen su ayuda. Y sin temor a equivocarme, que mejor que eso. Ojala algún día tenga una familia linda... pero nunca quisiera estar en los zapatos de estas personas. Que vergüenza ajena los comentarios mal intencionados.

yallah_yallah_uk_ Meghan is a force of nature , she is an achiever , and ambitious which Is wonderful that’s one of the qualities Harry loves about her ❤️there is a lot of pressure on them both to have a very strong marriage strongest THEN MOST !!! Which will be very hard they both have not had good role models in families to see that problems can be resolved, they will have to focus on their marriage being very strong and hopefully they will both turn inwards to each other for strength . They have pressures on them more then most ppl . They are the most glossy of the royals so they will get the most attention. Let’s support Harry and Meghan with love 💕 and respect ✊💯❤️

kristengeiger1969 I am totally discusted at these mom shamming women. She is a first time mother with the camera on her every move. Just imagine what that would feel like. Uplift these new mom's and praise them for doing the best they can. She has enough negative things said about her, she doesn't need negativity about how she holds her baby. As my mom always said to me.... "If u don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all." I look at these negative women as jealous, sad, negative people who don't feel good about themselves and try to make themselves feel better by saying mean, awful things about other women. They make up so much BS and a lot of the things they've written have been debunked. If you decided "not to like someone anymore" based purely on Tabloid stories, you are missing out on getting to know the good work that #DoS is doing.
