@oj_papi teams selling pick usually happens before the draft even starts. Rarely if ever is it right when you see a player you want dropping. That doesn’t happen. Trading a 2pick this year and next year does happen that way but not the buying in the last minute on the clock. Teams want good players that drop too. You can’t plan for a player dropping you want when buying a pick. You think the heat would have gave this years pick to get this kid had they had any idea Bol bol was going to drop? They keep that pick and they would keep bol bol. No one had any idea he’d drop so far in the 2nd round. With Hassan gone that they had planned way before to try and move they would have loved that pick and look what happened. This kid they drafted better be at least better than bol bol. Not to mention those other picks in deeper drafts upcoming. Buying a pick doesn’t lead to getting who you want exactly like you think. Anyway like I said it’s smart asset management and to fluff it off like 2nd picks don’t matter (3
Of them) or you can buy one blah blah is not realistic. It’s bad management.

@jimmythebuyer man thats a great argument except if they had wanted bol they would have got him at kz's spot. 2nd round picks have very little value and you typically see them go for picks in other drafts, cash, or to clear roster spots. Scouting teams know before the media and the fans where players may fall in the draft and make moves accordingly... they dont invest in scouting for no reason. Aside from that you see draft day moves all the time especially when players slide. Teams have different agendas and needs in every draft.

@fds2421 yeah true but think of it this way 3 superstars left him why because his play style. He doesn’t pass the ball and when he does his assist/turnover ratio is a negative I feel like if he takes a backseat to other superstars yeah it could work it might but he won’t. He is just to reckless when he plays and that’s just some other the reason why I think it’s s bad idea

@_miami_life16 yes true and honestly I haven’t seen him play to much but he does average double digit assists. However I will take in consideration that numbers don’t say the whole story, but if we don’t have to get rid of any young pieces for him and just some bad contracts I say let’s do it

@_miami_life16 I understand what you mean. I honestly hate/hated him but I started thinking about it and realized we’re building a defensive team and he can play defense pass the ball with jimmy possibly Beal and Leonard. So it might actually be a good fit if they can get another superstar

@fds2421 yeah he do but at the same time how does stat chasing help a team win. Half the time it goes down to the last second and he would throw up a dumb shot, just not something you would want on your team
