I love that my kids love to travel with us 💙⠀
⠀
Is anyone surprised to know that I’m the ULTIMATE tour guide? Whenever we are visiting a place, I love to learn as much as possible before we go and then I share ALLLLL the stories while we are there. 📖 ⠀
⠀
Does it annoy them? You betcha. Do I care? Not one tiny bit. If you’re gonna see places, LEARN about them! 🌎 ⠀
⠀
Please share an interesting factoid that you have learned while visiting somewhere. And everyone should read these comments because there will be a quiz later. ✔️

1)Krk (Croatia) has this old language they used to speak written on several places around the island, like on rocks and walls. People dont really speak that language anymore but the writings are still there. 2) where I live on the island of reichenau (Germany near the Swiss border) we learned as children that a monk traveled threw the sea to the island by boot and fought snakes and other gigantic monsters and cleaned up the island. Then he builded a bridge so that people could come and visit and by now reichenau is one of the most beautiful places.

Minnesota. St Paul used to be a *safe place* for gangsters. If you checked in with the St. Paul police you could stay safely in the county lines. There is (or was, not sure if it's still there, that you can visit) a cave that was a speakeasy that gangsters went to. They give tours (as far as I know they still do) that are so informative and fun! Definitely 5 stars

In the Medici Chapel in Florence, Italy, there are pictures made from stone—kind of like small wall mosaics—that don’t have any grout like a traditional mosaic. The stones were each designed, cut, and chiseled to perfectly fit together without any kind of bonding agent, and they still stand as they did when the chapel was first completed!

(Russia) this country is about 1200 years old! Last year the Fifa was played there. There is a bunch of different very cool places but I’m gonna tell you about the Kreml. Russia had a war with Germany and the Kreml was the help to fight. Because the people went inside and the shots won’t reach them. We actually won the war!

I just learned this fact recently about my city, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada,"The Chateau Laurier Hotel is said to be haunted by Charles Melville Hays, the president of the company that built the hotel. He died on the Titanic, 12 days before the hotel's opening."

In Montreal now with my mom and younger sister! We took a scooter tour and learned that Parc Royale (the park near Mont Royale which is just a huge mountain with a park and walking paths) was designed by the same person who designed Central Park in NYC!
