I made a movie in 1976 called "Assault On Precinct 13" and another in 1987 called "Prince Of Darkness." Which one is your favorite and why?

Assault on Precinct 13. It blew me away, I was young and that was the first time I saw a movie where no one was safe and the director just built the tension incrementally, so by the time I got to the end I was holding my breath. It didn’t hurt that I like Westerns and this was clearly a Western. The supernatural stuff never really worked for me.

Prince Of Darkness, its effective and creepy af and I love the Nigel Kneale influences. But I also recognize a blend of Romero, Cronenberg, and Argento too. And I hold the Apocalypse Trilogy in the highest esteem. But if we are speaking scores then Assault On Precinct 13th and it's an awesome pic in it's own right.

My Favorite is Prince of Darkness. Just bought the new BluRay Release last year and watched it almost 10 since then. I just love the creepy story, the Alice Cooper Cameo, the amazing score from you and Alan, the funny moments here and the mixture of SciFi, Horror and Mythology.

Prince of Darkness ! Such an original spin on old scratch The atmosphere is amazing, such that it is in my personal favorite top 10 horror movies, all time. A true underrated film. On a side note, have to say I love Assault as well ?!

The score was so good - it was the first CD I ever purchased. Didn’t even have a CD player at the time. Had to go to a friends house and used his machine to make a copy to cassette tape ? That was way back when I lived in Germany ?

...Prince of Darkness: Because of the pray for death scene with the bugs that eat/fill of that guy. It's just fucking the best horror scene ever. I was just watching it again today on Shudder. Probly my favorite Carpenter movie.
