My dad is currently in a nursing home up in Wichita Falls and has been for the last 4 years :( he has very few good days anymore; more often than not he has no clue who I am, nor can he speak. But yesterday he recognized me! He said, “hello sweetheart!” and even said “I love you”. It was the best.

dmtrottier What a wonderful and charitable act of service! I believe we are so close to finding a cure for Alzheimer’s. I am organizing my third fundraiser for Alzheimer’s ‘Art and Tarts’..works of Gerald Trottier #geraldtrottier. It is a horrendous disease, and especially for the caregivers.

betinaalls I have a cousin that is currently in a nursing for Alzheimer’s and I am caring for my mom who has dementia. I am 24/7/365. It’s a horrible disease. It affects everyone not just the Alzheimer’s patient. Thank you for putting this out there.

cactushill That’s so amazing. Thanks for sharing. My dad passed away this February after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. At the end he did not recognize any of his loved ones. I have great memories and will cherish them for a long time
